Zürich, 3. März 2026 — AMD und Nutanix haben eine mehrjährige strategische Partnerschaft bekanntgegeben. Sie dient der gemeinsamen Entwicklung einer offenen Full-Stack-KI-Infrastrukturplattform, um Agentic-AI-Anwendungen umgebungsunabhängig zu betreiben. Die Vereinbarung steht im Einklang mit dem Engagement beider Unternehmen für ein offenes KI-Ecosystem. Kunden sollen dadurch Wahlmöglichkeiten erhalten sowie einfach bereitzustellende, betriebsfertige, hoch performante und effiziente Lösungen, die für Agentic-AI optimiert sind – am Edge, in Unternehmens- und Cloud-Umgebungen.
Die Partnerschaft bringt innovative Prozessoren, offene Laufzeitsoftware und Enterprise-Cloud-Orchestrierungstechnologien für KI zusammen, um skalierbare und für den Produktivbetrieb geeignete Agentic-AI-Plattformen in Rechenzentren, Hybrid- und Edge-Umgebungen bereitzustellen. Die Unternehmen optimieren die Nutanix-Cloud- und Nutanix-Kubernetes-Plattformen auf AMD EPYC™ CPUs sowie AMD Instinct™ GPUs und integrieren das AMD ROCm™-Software-Ecosystem und die AMD Enterprise AI-Plattform mit den Full-Stack-Lösungen von Nutanix für KI. Ziel ist die Entwicklung einer offenen Lösung für Agentic-AI-Plattformen, die hoch leistungsfähige Infrastrukturen nutzen und von einer Vielzahl an OEM-Partnern unterstützt werden.
Im Rahmen der Vereinbarung wird AMD eine strategische Investition von 150 Millionen US-Dollar in Nutanix-Stammaktien zu einem Preis von 36,26 US-Dollar pro Anteilsschein tätigen und gemeinsame Entwicklungsinitiativen sowie Go-to-Market-Aktivitäten in Höhe von bis zu 100 Millionen US-Dollar finanzieren, um die Verbreitung von AMD und der Nutanix-basierten Agentic-AI-Plattform in verschiedensten Umgebungen zu beschleunigen. Die Kapitalbeteiligung wird voraussichtlich im zweiten Quartal 2026 abgeschlossen sein, vorbehaltlich behördlicher Genehmigungen und gängiger Vertragsabschlussbedingungen.

KI-Inferenz entwickelt sich zu einer grundlegenden Fähigkeit im Enterprise-Computing. Aus diesem Grund müssen Infrastrukturen skalierbare Leistung, Effizienz und Einfachheit im Betrieb liefern. Die gemeinsam entwickelte Plattform soll hoch performante KI-Inferenz ermöglichen, die mittels AMD Instinct GPUs und EPYC™ CPUs, hoher Prozessorkerndichte und Orchestrierung durch AMD EPYC™-Prozessoren sowie mithilfe des einheitlichen Lebenszyklusmanagements in Nutanix Enterprise AI beschleunigt werden.
